Ashley Foster
Managing Director
I started the business along with my wife 30 years ago. I am now proud to work along side my three sons. I am an FIA qualified fire alarm designer, and hold an NVQ Level 3 in Fire and Security. I continue to carry out surveys and providing quotes, and love to explore new technologies and meet new people and customers, offering the benefit of my 30 years experience. My hobbies outside of work include flying, and I recently gained my pilots licence. Family life is really important to me, and I love spending time with my grandchildren.
LINDA FOSTER
Managing Director
Having trained and worked as a legal secretary for many years and then a college lecturer my skill set has helped me develop the business with my husband and sons. I enjoy working with my family and recognize the different skills we all have which add to the development of our business. I love spending time with my family and enjoy watching my grandchildren grow and mature. I like walking – particularly following old Wainwright book walks. I enjoy music, gigs and plays. I keep fit and try to do Qi Gong when I have time. Eating out and holidays are important to me, I still enjoy working but do try to keep the work/life balance in check.
Gareth Foster
Intruder Alarm Specialist
I have now worked in fire and security for 10 years. My background is in IT and software development, which has been useful as fire and security technology moves into the connected age. I enjoy working with customers to design a system within their budget, making use of the technology we have available to solve real problems for them, making them feel safer in their homes and workplaces.
Haydn Foster
Fire Alarm Specialist
I've now worked within the business since 2010 and enjoyed watching the business grow alongside my personal development within the industry. My main area of expertise is within the Fire Alarm sector, but I have a wealth of experience with Intruder Alarms and Doors Access. My hobbies outside of work include football, going to the gym and climbing.
Lewis Foster
CCTV Specialist
I joined Mercury in 2014 after working as a software engineer for over 10 years. My background in IT puts me in a strong position for understanding a changing industry that requires an appreciation of both electrical and electronic skills as well as more modern IT skills. I love what we do and take pride is seeing our business grow and improve. A work-life balance is important and away from Mercury I enjoy flying and getting outdoors.

Office Team Leader
I am the office team leader and have just reached 10 years with Mercury (and have a necklace to prove it). My role is ensuring the office runs smoothly, I am fully trained to deal with all office tasks but mainly help with sales, quotes and HR. In my spare time, I enjoy spending time with friends and family, including my little boy who keeps me on my toes. I love visiting different countries with my family. I also enjoy a good Zumba class and love to sing, especially in the office and my colleagues think I have a wonderful voice 🤣

Admin / Accounts
My names Kelly and I have been a part of the Mercury team/family since 2018. My role at Mercury is taking care of accounts and taking calls regarding any faults that may occur with your Mercury system. In my spare time I love to spend time with my nearest and dearest which may include a bite to eat and a drink or two. I love having a holiday booked and exploring new places, a sunny destination is my favourite.

Hi, my name is Maliha. I’m currently an apprentice in charge of maintenance at Mercury, where I’m learning the ins and outs of keeping things running smoothly and efficiently. I take pride in being hands-on and growing my skills each day. Outside of work, you’ll often find me in cozy pyjamas, spending quality time with my family, or out enjoying a long walk to clear my mind. I love both the chill of winter and the warmth of summer—there’s something special about each season, whether it's watching a Christmas movie near a crackling fire or soaking up the summer sun. I value balance in life and bring that same energy to everything I do.

Admin / Sales
Hi, my names Keira! I'm in charge of quotes and usually the first port of call when it comes to enquiries, installations or takeovers. I enjoy keeping things organised, making sure the entire process is as easy as it can be and keeping the Directors on their toes with my caffeine addition. Outside of work, you'll probably find me obsessing over Stray Kids, reading a book or spending time with friends and family.
Nicky W
Senior Engineer
Hi, my name is Nicky Wardley, I'm the senior engineer here at Mercury. I've been in and around the security industry for approximately 28 years. Over time my role has altered slightly, now working more on the regulations and auditing of the security systems we install and maintain. I have a keen eye for detail which when it comes to fire safety is a must. I enjoy a very good relationship with our clients. I love the challenge of the ever changing security industry, new products and innovations, all to save our clients properties and the staff who work in them. I'm a father of five boys so family life is exiting and also sometimes exhausting but so rewarding. My hobbies outside of work include coaching my boys football team, walking, watching movies and having a pint!
