At one end of the scale are the sophisticated devices – for example biometric readers, or Weigand technology. CODED DOOR LOCK
Below are types of coded door locks which could be fitted to the required door and are designed to allow only persons who had been given the code to gain access/egress. Some examples:-
DOOR ENTRY SYSTEMS
A wall-mounted access unit connected to an electrical door release allows a caller to talk to a person in the building who can enable access to the building by opening the door via pushing a button on the handset. The handset is connected to an intercom system to telephones within the building – (including cordless ones) - so you can answer the door wherever you are. Some examples below:-
